I've had the same problem, if I try to redline it in first, i often times miss second. I've just learned to shift a bit early and be very deliberate with getting it into second and that seems to work for the most part.

Yeah, I do the same thing Shiroboi. You can sort of feel when to shift and when it'll grind if you try and throw it into second.

Yeah, I'm not sure if its a problem with our cars or just an overall flaw. Its best to shift the car at 6K RPMs anyway so it doesn't hurt as bad as you would think, shifting a bit early.

I stumbled on this thread. I'm sorry but im to lazy to read the hole thing.

Do you need a used ralliart transmission? I have mine in my shed. The only thing it dont have is a clutch arm. I think it has about 35,000 miles on it. I paid 550 for it, if i remember correctly.
