269 feet...i changed up my launch a bit, and played with a few shift points...1st gear i redline at 7300, second i went to 7000, and 3rd i rode out to redline again at 7300...if i shifted to 4th i was getting higher mph, but at 15.4, or 15.5...

you didn't miss much, 15.2 all night long...not only is the tune as hackish calls it "a shot in the dark" and running VERY rich, i also had a lot of trouble with my launch...if i launched easy to avoid ridiculous wheel spin, it would bog, and i get mad turbo lag, and if i launched like i'm used to, i just get stupid wheel spin right into 3rd gear, lol...so i need to get a hold of hackish for a solid tune, and work on my launch and shift points...I need UV TUNE to have live tuning so i can change my launch control rpm on the fly...

i did figure out if i launch normal but feather the throttle, i can control the wheel spin a little better, but it didn't help much, i'm getting a lot of heak soak too, so i'm looking at heat wrap and water injection as a solution...by the end of the season i'll reach my goal of 14.3

Holy **** only a drop of a tenth of a second with the addition of a turbo kit

I understand the traction issue, you should start looking for a decent set of rims and tires just for the track. I think you could get the low 14 second passes that you want with a good set. I mean u have the LSD which I viewed as the thing holding the 4g69 back and I understand that it a basic tune but damn I pulled low 14s (5 years ago) with a 80 shot and street tires and got into the 13s with 115 shot.

What are you doing to prep the car before the track?

Garrett, I know you will figure it out and get into low 14's. If you want to use the shop any weekend let me know, we can spend a day installing/testing stuff. I think Lanzer nailed it - bring a set of slicks/wheels for the front just for the drag strip. Wasn't OttRalliart's car spinning the tires too in the upper gears?

Thanks for the report!

yeah, the tune is finished yet, but i think i need some right foot tuning as well...it was my first time going at it with boost, so i didn't really have time to work on it, and i can't really practice on public roads, so i'll get a proper tune, and just work on how i apply throttle off the line...slicks have been on my mind, but i was even thinking of getting just a pair of dunlop star specs up front, for daily driving, and see how they run at the track...

i'll get it sorted out...i still want to tweak the suspension a bit, get those bushings modified, and redo my rear transmission mount, i was thinking of turning hockey pucks on a lathe for a close tolerance fit...

I'll be burning thru the Toyos soon and noticed that they don't offer them anymore in our stock size, so it's either R1R's or the Dunlops for track use. If you can get a deal let me know please. For slicks check out these guys (I think i gave you this earlier, it's just fun to look at and they're down the road east of you) http://2koolperformance.ca/tire_werx/index.htm

Something like this maybe? http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...agSportCompact

I'll be going to the lapping session tomorrow (Monday), it goes from 5:30 pm to 9 pm after the open drifting day is over. It's the long track, a little over 4 km, $6 per lap or $25 for 5 laps. Just drive in off the highway and go onto the track! I think you line up and they stagger you out with so many seconds spacing so no direct racing... we'll see. Then go nuts. I have the yellow RA, please say hi if you are there.

When we were doing the short track last year hardly any other cars were lapping, dunno what this weekend will bring.

The masses, well maybe just me, are crying out for the Swift springs review.

I was waiting for track time, now that is done, just getting the before/after lowering pics lined up and I'll write something. Gotta do the 60-0 mph brake test too.

Was a lot of fun. The wait to get on the track was very short, like one minute at the worst. It took about 8 laps before I could relax enough to see the apexes and start some serious lap time reductions. The long track experience is soooo different from the Nelson short track they open for test 'n tune.

I really missed the option of drag racing too, but the next test 'n tune for that is June 8 I think.

Ive never been to a track... I do most of my "spirited driving" on the back country roads. lol

I would like to go to a track some time. It sounds like it would be fun. Just dont know where any are that are nearby to my location.

the track is fun cause you can take corners fast, and if you lose traction you end up in the grass, instead of wrapped around a tree...
