Thumping sound help

This morning I started hearing a loud, repeating, thumping sound coming from my 04 ralliart. It seems to be coming from the back left wheel. The sound is constant and speeds up as my car gains speed and slows down as my my car does. It doesnt seem to effect how the car drives at all. Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue may be, or anything I can do to diagnose this sound?

Can you feel anything? Vibrations ect, or is it just sound...? If i may go out on a limb here, I would suggest having a look at your tires as a belt could have shifted. My dad's gone through many tires due to shifting belts and they cause sort of a thumping sound...

A shifted belt could be invisible, or could cause a deformity. Have a close look inside and out.

Potential to have a blowout while driving...if a belt is shifted there'd a weak spot in the tire that the air pressure will gravitate (for lack of a better word) to. All the pressure in one weak spot is not good.
