Work from under the car, behind the bumper. Feel for a spring on the backside of the hood catch, you will know what to do once you are there, it doesn't take much for the release. Un-install the busted cable and reverse the process for the installation of the new cable, it's easy.

The catch isn't installed on my car right now, I will take some pics that might help guide you...

Wow I was grumpy earlier, I was elbows deep in a Cummins Diesel for 2 days, I didn't get any sleep...finally got some sleep. My apologies for being a delta bravo.

I am going to get some pics of the latch so you have somewhat of a reference when you put your hand behind the catch. I will attempt to show you show you where the cable is running too.

Here is a picture of the backside of the catch. You can feel for the small spring and pull it in the direction of the arrow and the hood should pop-up, I checked the routing of the cable and it goes under the DS fender...I didn't investigate any further.

on the other hand idk whats wrong with the car it was 90 degrees today and i decided to drive it to the dealership and it was turning off and on within idk maybe half a second. the gauges and radio would shut off and on it only happens when its hot and i would loose power to the car for that half second i tryed turning it off to see if it would leave me stranded but it started right back up idk what the deal is ugh more problems
