Question Psc1-017t rrm split second

Ok so I bought that signal calibrator used from a guy for cheap, can anyone give me feed back on how tough the installation is and what do I need (ex: afr). I'm really debating now, a guy named wolverineottawa on forums can crack my original ecu for about 400$. What are your opinions ? And if I go with the reflash, would the rrm piggy fit on an eclipse 4G69 even tho the configuration of the catalytic converters is diferrent from the R//A

go with reflashing the stock ECU, either FastWorks or ECUFlash....no piggy back on the planet will do what a stock ECU can do.

probably not. it's not actually changing the programming in the ECU, it's basically sending intentionally erroneous sensor ouput signals to the ECU to trick it into behaving differently, but the eclipse I think uses a different ECU, and may not work correctly...eclipse guys use the AEM FIC.

xXxclusivemotorsportsxXx or fastworks has the ability to flash the ECU. As Crans said no piggyback will sustain performance like a reflash. Piggyback will intercept the signal and manipulate the signal. The issue is this the ECU is to smart it will notice the change and try to adjust. At first you will Notice gains but after a while the gains will drop off. To get them back you have to keep resetting the ECU, that gets annoying after a while. With the reflash you program the ECU and that is it. Performance gains are instant and you do not have to reset the ECU like a piggyback.

Yes it is but you will have the same issues as the lancer.
