Put flywheel and LSD on the same car with clutch line upgrade and it should easily see 14.4-14.5's.

Do exhaust and piggy and you'll be right at 14.1-2's with ease. I've been working with the lancer for a while now... i've been knee deep into the ralliart even before it was available here. (RRM had a JDM Ralliart from Mitsu.)

To all who think the RA cannot or will be hard to get into the 13's NA you'll be proven wrong in due time. Will it break into low 13's i don't think so without some high comp. pistons. A 13.9 though is not out of reach for it NA.
Well, according to the published specs the RA weights at 2887lbs and has 162 hp/162 ftlbs. This results in 17.82lb/hp.
My '96 GS-R integra weights at 2764 and had 170hp/128 ftlbs in stock form. This translates to 16.25 lbs /hp
The best I could do N/A with intake and header/cat-back was 15.3 (which is damned respectable). When I added a JR supercharger, the HP went to an estimated 225 which translates to 12.28 lb/hp.
To achieve the same ratio, the RA must produce 235 hp from that engine.... With all due respect, that is a very tall order indeed... My teg with JRSC did 14.1 @ 99.2 mph. Granted, if I had LSD and slicks, I could have probably gotten into the 13's. but just barely.... As a point of comparison, the WRX with turbo-back and EVO with catback managed 14.6 and 14.3 respectively..... and they have AWD!! I'm not saying it's impossible to achieve 13s with the RA in NA form, but it's gonna take a lot of money and work to do it....

boe didnt have an RA...drove a regular OZ lancer that was a fully modified beast....not sure if he has times though..
as for 2 seconds....a basic tuned piggyback shaves off and easy 1.5 secs off of the OZ...

13 sec n/A RA is not far from the future...

I'm with you silverEVO8. When I see a 13 sec RA, I will say "damn, they were right". But for now....

my best when turbo'd stage 2 was a 13.31 on my toyo proxies... i never got my launch down and was averaging 2.2-2.4's on the 60'. That isn't bad but that was a far cry from my non-intercooled days on slicks where i got a 1.8 60'. That was at 11psi. On slicks i'd been in the high 12's.

Forgot my trap speeds: 109-111mph

The drag car ran a 12.7 on the same tune but couldn't get any traction. Then they turned up the boost in the attempt to gain it back down the track... bad idea on the stock bottom end. They went boom at 15psi. The 12.7 was on slicks w/sucky 60ft times as the slicks couldn't hold the ground at 13psi spike tappering to 12psi solid.

Most stock Evo's i've seen at Carlbad were turning 13.3-13.8's depending upon the launch.

That's turbo though and i'm talking NA.

The Ralliart can pull high 14's(14.9's) with a good driver and just CAI. That's been done by 3 people including RRM. Knocking a second off that isn't really hard. The ralliarts torque band is very agressive from 2200rpm to 5800rpm. All the mods we've done and tested on the car show the torque curve remaining in this state. Having 160wtq from 22k-58k is far above most cars who don't come into the top range until around 4500rpms.

You'll see the RA pulling thos times i have no fear of that... A long time ago i was told the lancer would never beat an evo and i should just get the evo. Out of 8 evo's i raced... 3 at a track and 5 on the road only one beat me... sadly he literally whooped on me!

It wasn't fair though... I was never a match for RRE's evo.

My turbo lancer days are done though as i'm done pooring cash into that car. I continue to assist RRM with its developement but i'm getting back to my NA roots and i'm going for the fastest NA Ralliart title. Just gotta get one now

that must suck when the evo driver cant even beat a stock looking oz lancer
of course people on these boards would never admit to a loss like that

The SC was not screwing me up bro, it gave me about 55hp more that the stock car!! The RRM car was turbocharged, right? Also, it has 2.4 liters vs. 1.8 (barely) of the GS-R, but anyway, I was just sharing what I know and what I've seen

Your trap speeds suggest 327hp according to the hp/trap speed calculators in the web. Your 13.31 ET suggests 257 hp I'm using 3065 lbs for the vehicle weight with driver and fuel... Look in http://www.prestage.com/Car+Math/ET+...s/default.aspx
Of course all these calculators are estimates only and designed for RWD detroit iron. Still, they suggest much higher hp output than a NA small 4 cyl engine could easily produce.... Again, I'm not suggesting it can't be done, after all, there are NA Civics out there running in the low 10's , but these are dedicated drag racing cars. But anyway, taking a street, daily driven Lancer NA to the high 13.s is gonna be a difficult and expensive project.

Silver, I hear what you're saying about power/weight ratio w/ the GS-R, but the big difference is the torque. Remember the old saying, "Horsepower sells cars, torque moves them". The additional torque of the RA (especially w/ a few mods) would offset that power weight ratio and make the RA quicker, IMHO

Oh, I agree that the extra torque of the RA will help it out of the hole, but that was never the problem as both cars (the GS-R and the RA) suffer from loss of traction. My 60's were in the 2.1 - 2.2 range with the JRSC and my best trap was 99.56 mph.
Anyway, torque helps out of the hole, but HP makes the trap speed and affects the ET tremendously.... Unless you have some really good traction and very low gears you'll have a hell of a time breaking into the 13s with less than 250 whp..... That is a lot to get out of the RA engine....

I personally think it can be done and will be done, and all this speculation is kind of pointless, only time will tell.

there is no way in hell you'll make 13s with no forced induction.
