normal clicking.
possibilty
1) intake shutting down - ie the butterfly.
2) injectors shutting down
3) electrical stuff shutting down
Otherwise, you guys are too paranoid. chalk it up to inexperience not driving a lot of other cars.

It's quite certainly electrical systems charging up / calibrating / running diagnostics.
With something a bit more technogically advanced , like a car with MIVEC, ABS, EBD and then some, systems might have to be innitialized and/or calibrated and/or reset before use. Clicking sounds might come from relays and such internal electronics.
In a nutshell, this car is not your average '83 Camaro...
NOTE: the ABS calibration noise that might be heard from the back is probably the hydraulics part of the process... but the electronics box and servos might also calibrate themself before startup.

OK, I waited long enough. I wanted to see if there would be any interesting explainations. Some of them can be funny. That's the fuel pump making sure there is gas for the engine to burn upon ignition.

On every car, when you first turn the key but don't crank the engine, you will hear a hum, a click, or something. Thats the pump getting gas to the engine. Engines need gas to run. There may be other noises too, but that is always one of them.
