Condensation in the headlights

Well I just got done washing my girl's Ralliart at the car wash. I must say I envy her yellow car because you cannot see any swirl marks. My black EVO never cleans up like this!

Well we got back to the house and then noticed the driver side headlamp had developed some condensation inside of it. We wiped the outside completley dry and it still exists. Has anyone else had this problem? We plan to call the dealer about this, if it happened once it can happen again.

Please post if you have any suggestions or if you have had this problem.

might have a crack in the cover, My neon did that. It was a tiny tiny hair line crack. My brake light filled with water and shorted. Check that, IF you find one make the dealer replace it.

Not long after I got my RA, the driver's side headlight went out. I popped the hood to check it out and the headlight holder wasn't twisted in properly from the factory. It came loose and the bulb broke. If that's the case, its an easy fix. Just pull out the bulb and use a hair dryer on the headlight to get rid of any moisture inside it, then re-install your bulb.

Same thing happened to my old Nissan when it was new. It was just a bad seal in the cover. That sounds like what happened to your girls'. It could be a crack, but you would be able to see it if taht was the case. Any dealership should take care of it for you with no hassle or charge.

I think it depends on the humidity(sp). On rainy days I have maybe 1/2 " spots on both headlamps that fog up a bit. In the exact same area on both headlamps

If you have condensation in the lights, take it to the dealer and they'll replace the whole lamp assembly. That's an easy warranty item. Same thing happened to me within a few weeks of getting my OZ.

you can just park it in the sun with the bulbs out.. and then put the bulbs back on in a few hours.. it will dry itself out

I would choose the "bring it to the dealership" method, it will work out great.
