importance of wheel weights?

Well, he had 16" wheels and 55-series tires. Nothing too drastic there. He's still running 16"s and 55's, but he's back to the stock wheels, which seem to take the abuse better.
I'm not totally disagreeing with you, just saying that the 16" wheels aren't indestructible, either. Overall, you're correct.

im just sayin i think its because they arent made as strong as heavier wheels. cause when i broke the 15's i was goin 30 mph, and all i did was run over a kinda big rock.
