My front driver strut just went too. i have 36K on it and hopefully they'll be as easygoing about it. ive also had the same problem with the squeaking rear in the cold, but i doubted they'd do anything about it and now its to warm out to show it to them, always next winter.

after taking my 18s off and putting my stocks back on for the track i started to hear that so called ''creaking '' noise and after reading on this blown strut problem do you all think that is it? i only hear it in the front pass. side and mostly only when first excellerating or turning , it's like a popping noise......now its in FL so i guess it might be from the so called winter...59F....lol , but i don't know the car has less than 9000 miles on it and i do play hard, but what do you all think ....? thanks in advance.

dealership part1

so i make an appointment and they seemed cool on the phone. i get there and it was just no questions asked its covered under the warranty (even the extended if you got it) so i leave it and wait for them to call when its done. so they close at 6....i call at 5 bc i had not heard anything and after 15min. on hold they say the parts won't be in until next week. i could pick up my car whenever. had i not called they woulda just let the car sit there for a week w/o telling me anything......

guess u gotta stay on top of them bc its free.

i wonder if warranty lasts till 72500, like my car?i'll have to call and find out . i don't think it's coming from the back but just from the front of the car.

Suspension warranty is gone after 36000 miles, so you're probably completely out of luck. Front suspension noise would be from a strut. No TSB's for the front.

they finally took care of my strut problem w/ 37,000 on the car. i think the extended warranty covered the suspension to.

If anyone reading this lives on long island, do not use smithtown mitsu!!!!

horrible experience with them, never actually did any work to my car. so i took it to another dealer and it went great w/o headaches.

I just got back from the dealer. i had that nasty squeek coming from the rear passenger and a beauty clunk coming from the front drivers.

they replaced my rear passenger upper and lower control arms.. squeek went away.

they took apart my front strut tower and found a handful of gravel inside. haha. clunk gone

all is nice and quiet now. and at no charge

I'm getting a popping sound when I turn the wheel but only at slow speeds like when I'm in a parking lot or backing into my driveway. It seems to be getting louder as of late. Wonder if this is strut related?

Jack the front of your car up until the tires are off the ground, then use compressed air to blow the sand/rocks/whatever out of your struts where the spring rests on the spring perch.

Many of us have had the popping noise, only to find a small rock in the springs.
