Will these 18s fit a 2006 Lancer RA
I've read every FAQ and spent a week now with tire and offset calculators. I would like to run this setup.
18x7 wheel with 42mm offset on a 215/35R18 tire
(I've read somewhere that 17x7 wheels with 42mm offset, on 215/40R17 tires will work)
I don't want to roll my fenders but would like to go with the 18x7 with a lower profile tire. I already understand ride quality, and some performance may suffer. I actually wanted to run Motegi FF7 18x7.5 with 45mm offset, on 215/35R18 but realized this would likely need fender rolling due to the width of the tire and 45mm offset.
I should be able to run the 18x7 wheel with 42mm offset on a 215/35R18 tire right? Just wanted to confirm once more before I make my purchase online.
Thanks in advance.

ah! found this under Lancerman's sig! This helped alot! I originally wanted, 18x7.5 (45mm offset) and that would definetely not have worked.
However I may be able to get away with 18x7 (42mm offset) on 215/35R18 tires I think.

I do have 18x7.5 (45mm offset) on 215/35R18 on the front and 225/35R18 on the rear! no rub at all, well I bend the interior of the rear fenders a little, but you can´t notice! So, those must fit perfectly!

Also another question for everyone.
If you're running a 7.5 width wheel, is there a huge difference from a 42mm offset to 45mm offset? 45mm more likely to rub on the inner fender under load or sharp cornering?

thanks to everyone on evom that helped with sizing. the FAQs were great, and thanks Lancerman360.
18"x7 with a 42mm offset on 215/35R18 fit great!!!
no rubbing issues on sharp turns, and under load.
