KYB Shocks

http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/s...products_id=39

I was just wondering who has purchased these,
and if they have any feedback to throw my way...
Im not a suspension guy, i know little of, but a few friends that
know what they are doing, but dont drive RA's.

Are these worth the money? or should I just look into some Tein-S Springs?
any reviews would be awesome.

I have them, combined with s-tech springs, and like the setup. Corners quite well, damping is stiffer without being intolerable.

If its a GR-2 they make for a great oem replacement shock. However, they do not warranty them if used with a lowering spring because the GR-2's are not valved/designed to be used with a drop. I've had a lot of customers call back cause the ride was bad or a shock blew when used with springs and KYB wouldn't warranty them. Sounds like Otter has had good luck, but thought I'd mention that.

Unfortunately, the KYB GR-2's are the only aftermarket option we have I pretty much knew and accepted, when I put on lowering springs, that I'd be spending some extra money on replacing struts a bit more often.

Edit, actually looks like Monroe makes a sens-a-trac for us, now, but I don't think that'd handle lowering any better than the KYB.

I <3 my S-Techs. The S-techs are supposedly the stiffest of the lowering springs we have available, but they're also the best performing. If you're just after the look of being lowered, then the progress springs may help your struts last a touch longer.

Pretty much all lowering springs drop the car the same. ~1.5" front, 0-0.5" in the rear.

Had em on my old lancer es after the stocks were worn from Sprint Springs. These are solid struts/ shocks. Not too stiff, not too soft.

Check amazon.com though. I bought them from amazon through autoparts wharehouse for about 320 all 4.

Does anybody know the part # for the rear kyb gr2 shocks? I looked on the kyb site under their parts catalog and could only find part # for the front struts, but not the rear shocks. I think i'ts the same # as sportback ralliart wagon but i'm not sure! If someone has any info please let me know? thanks

Yeah, same part number as the sportback and OZ Lancer (probably same as ES rear, too.)

do we share the same struts with any other vehicles? a set of AGX's would be a great upgrade.
