well for me the 17x7.5 +45 wouldn't work because it hits right on the rear control arm, so i opted for the 17x8 +35 and used a 3mm spacer. spacers are normally not recommended because they cause more stress to your wheel hub, but if its 3mm or 5mm you will be ok, rule of thumb with spacers is you want to get at least a good 3 to 4 turns on the lug nut.

you may want to test fit your wheels with out the tire first to see if they don't bang up against the rear control arm. the tire size your going to use will work though.a 215/45/will rub on the inner plastic and maybe the rear fenders. let me know if you have any questions bro

i dunno bro, k3lv said he had a similar set up and didnt have problems, when we test fitted my rota grids and they were 17x7.5 +45 and they were hitting in the rear. kinda sucked but i guess not all RA's are made equal

Good luck finding a 225/40/17 tire. Nitto was the last company I could find with that size. They don't have them anymore.

two friends of mine have that setup but with a +40 i think with 5 mm spacers...some rubbing in the underpanel on 100% steering but is pretty minor...ask the big guys here....
