Help, lancer ralliart Strut questions

KYB excel-G is the standard OE replacement, and they work well even with lowering springs...those coil over sleeves from what i've heard don't have the greatest ride...a guy i work with has them on his civic, and i drove it for a while, i wasn't impressed...it wasn't rough, it was really bouncy like the struts were blown...
