By looking way better and will sell better

Subaru sales are doing very well so I'm not too sure about that. I agree that the new look is very tame and hardly "enthusiast" inspiring but hell, it seems to be working. Whether the Ralliart sells well is yet to be decided, it has some good points (looks good, fancy tranny) and some bad points (less than stupendous performance, price).

Hey everyone!

I'm new to this forum.....

I just happened to stumble across this site after gawking at all the web links associated with the new 09 Ralliart.

All I can say is... I love it! I've never owned a Lancer before though I have always liked them. It seems like the makers have finally built a Lancer that has the best of both worlds which is the key aspect for me!

Being married, kid on the way..... If I'm gonna be looking at purchasing a Lancer, this would be the one! I think this is the main concept for it. Evo would be way off the wall for someone like myself, unless I had a crap load of money and of course at that point I could afford one. And a Lancer it's self is a good fuel economy car but I for one need a car with a little wheel power, especially after just owning a Turbo Dodge car that ran 13.1secs in 1/4 mile!

I'm so anxious to see and hear more about this car....

Does anyone know what kind of motor oil the Ralliart will take? 5w20? Full Synthetic? And how about Fuel? I'm taking it will need to run on Premium due to the application setup ex: Turbo, IC etc.

Word Up!

It will need premium like almost all turbocharged cars and I'm guessing it will run 10w30 oil.

Highest premium used is obviously recommend, however what would be the minimal lowest without causing detonation?

10w30 hey...

EvoX GSR and MR seem to run off 5w30.... I guess you can get away with anyone of those really.... I always put 5w20 Moblie1 Full Synethic in my Shelby, never had a problem.

The minimum is going to be premium unless you want the car to knock and downgrade the power in an attempt to save itself. 10w30 is what a lot of Subaru guys use since it's heavy enough to allow for proper lubrication at startup without being too thick at other times.
