Every review is the same, seems like Mitsubishi really ****ed themselves in the eyes of magazine reviewers with whatever **** tires they've thrown on this car.

The 1/4 times and acceleration numbers they're reporting are interesting, despite their subjective opinion that the Ralliart feels slow, they all came up very close to each other.

Can't say I'm not disappointed, but I suspect a tune on a stock Ralliart would turn up some interesting numbers and improve things a bit.

And regardless of the ordering, I would never even remotely consider buying a Cobalt SS, and I suspect this will prove true when it comes to their sales.

As in slowest 0-60, same 1/4 as the Ralliart, and 3rd place overall?

You win on price though.

EDIT: The actual data from the test is here:

I agree. I had a feeling just from reading the first page that the Cobalt was going to win but I could care less as it would be the last car I would purchase as you get what you pay for and I learned my lesson after owning an SRT-4 ACR S2. Sure it was almost as fast as an EVO or STI in a straight line but you never forgot how cheap it was.....ever.

I am actually pleasantly surprised at the Ralliart's acceleration numbers when you consider it's 300lbs heavier than the next heaviest car. The 4B11 is obvioulsy very capable and less 300lbs the car would easily be a sub 5.0 second 0-60 car. Obviously the suspension, brakes, & tires are holding the car back but IMO Mitsubishi never wanted the car to perform even close to an EVO for obvious reasons. I suppose you could strip some weight change the springs/shocks and wheels/tires and end up with a capable car but with the added cost of those items you could have bought an EVO.

Subaru looks to have corrected most of the WRX's flaws as this has to be the best performing WRX yet. Now if only they could do something about the Ford Escort/Mazda 3 styling.

Mazdaspeed 3. Don't care how it performs or who loves it, won't ever buy a Mazda again. Worst reliability of all the Japanese carmakers and aren't built to last.

Yea that's the main thing I have to consider if I end up buying a Ralliart, I'll probably have to order wheels/tires & springs/shocks day 1. Although I probably would have done that whether I buy an EVO or a Ralliart, they both need drops

MS6? It's not very fast but it's the same engine and AWD on the 6 platform.
