Downpipe install
Installed downpipe and test pipe last nite.
First thing we did was remove the catalytic converter and test the fit ment of the new testpipe. Fitment was perfect. Bolts that connect the cat to mid pipe are (17mm) and the bolts connecting the cat to downpipe were (19mm).
Tip: Use a o2 sensor socket(pictured) for removal of o2 sensors.
After that we moved on to the downpipe. This was the toughest part.
1st remove the heat shield from the turbo manifold(bolts are 10mm) and the aluminum brace thats under the car. It covers the downpipe. this has 4 bolts(12mm) so you can see the downpipes bolt connection to the turbo. Then disconnect the o2 sensor on the downpipe.
Tip: These are spring loaded bolts (14mm) on the downpipe to turbo connection and u have zero room to tork a wrench or socket.
We used a swivel socket with extensions to remove both bolts from under the car. Dont know if doing it from on top will work.
Overall it wasnt a hard install.
My advice if your doing it yourself u need these tools:
o2 sensor socket
10" extension
14mm socket
19mm deep socket
17mm deep socket
10mm socket
Also my CEL did come on after about a half hour of driving.

I was impatient and bought a downpipe from CP-E (the only people that had a downpipe up for sale at the time) and its three weeks later and still haven't even gotten confirmation that its shipped

The downpipe should have no affect on CEL's. Our Test Pipes have our unique angled bung for the secondary o2 sensor. We've had A LOT of success with this design. Many of our Evo VIII/IX/X customers have driven thousands of miles without any sign of a P0420 CEL.

Dave, try resetting your ecu and see if it comes back after that.

same design on my UR testpipe. Just had a CEL for the first night nothing since.
Theres a noticable gain in the pull of the car and the sound from the turbo
