This thread reminds me of that other "370z vs Evo X" that suddenly turned into
370z vs ALL" thread.

I guess the final question is which is the better car?

Well the Ralliart its. Period.

I agree, the RA is without a question the best all around sports sedan ever made for the money. It handles the best, is the fastest, stops the best, has the best tires, best turbo, best transmission, best paint, best wheels, best wing, best stereo, best factory tune, best exhaust and best suspension. CASE CLOSED. Oh, and best seats and best interior, and best warranty, and best service and last but not least, BEST LOOKS!!!!!

FYI. Tune only on the 2.0t.

Baseline 182 whp 30 KG/m
Tuned 216 whp 38 KG/m

I have no idea how to convert to ft/lbs. but 25% gain in torque from a tune has to help!!

RA is still the best though, just pointing this out for OP.

A supercharger is not very cheap. But at any rate, just as it's possible to supercharge the hyundai 3.8, the same could be said for practically any engine. Oh, and most engines run pretty rich from the factory, so a good tune can help all of them.

My point wasn't that a gen coupe is better or worse than a camaro, I was just pointing out that the V6 genesis is not really a good deal.

Also, all the cars in the segment (minus the gti) have pretty crappy interiors. I find the hyundai pretty cheesy. I don't mind the overall design of the camaro's, but the material selection is poor. Really though, IMHO, the R/A's interior is second in the class only after the VW's.

I just think that for over $25k there are many cars with better potential than a V6 hyundai. The turbo coupe though has plenty potential.

By the way, am I the only one here who thinks the srt4 neon actually looks good? I would drive one.

Lastly, try to make a gen coupe look like this:

Ok the OP was about the coup 2.0T against the RA. Where the hell did the v6 come in at? I leaning towards the RA however if i end up for sure having the surgery i will have to drive it after to make sure its not to stiff for my back. And DBoz where did you get that info about the tune only for the 2.0 interesting info thats why didn't know anyone was able to tune em yet. And im sorry but the LS9 in that Camero is just wrong sexy hot what ever you want to call it. I love my imports and WILL always love it especially the BOV but nothing and i mean NOTHING is sexier then the sound of a reving '72 Nova with a 502 big block in there.

Though all of what you mentioned, you're right only in about half of it

I actually had to make this very decision a few weeks ago and I ended up going with the Gen Coupe V6. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Ralliart a lot, but the Gen just had so many more features and is a little more striking in person IMO. Also, anyone that says the Ralliart interior is better obviously has never sat in a Genesis Coupe. Right now, the V6 is putting down 5.5 0-60 WITHOUT the factory ECU flash, so I'm thinking it should be in 5.1/5.2 range afterwards.

There's lots of misinformation in this thread, ie. "the Genesis is based off the Tiburon"
So let me know if you have any questions on the Genesis.

I've sat in the Gen coupe at the Detroit auto show, and found it to be a bit on the cheesy side. Of course, this is all a matter of opinion. I like the cleaner, and simpler design of the R/A (especially with that evo wheel

Doubt a flash on a NA vehicle will shave almost a half second off a 0-60 time. I hope you dont get sucked into the crap being posted at gencoupe.com. There's some far-out clueless people over there.

Edmunds received the flash and it shaved .5 off of their previous time. Then again, the drivers at edmunds are terrible to begin with.
