09 RA for first vehicle

I agree. It's not really our business to preach to him that he may not be responsible enough to own a $40K car because we don't know him. If he has the money and can buy it it's his choice and he asked for advice about the car not whether he was mature enough to drive it.

Don't make us RAs look like little ricers
@ back on topic; I think if the OP would've want his dad to advice him on whether he should drive a Turbocharged car after graduating, he could've actually asked his dad, literally.
Which is why the whole freaking thread is a waste.
Go buy a damn Ralliart, its a badass car; better than what most people think (I'm telling you cause I own one).

I'm graduating this year and am using the money I've accumulated over the years to purchase my first vehicle. I've looked at many cars (such as the 350z, infiniti g35, etc) and come to the conclusion that a 4 door car would be the only type of vehicle within my price range. This is due to the high insurance for my age. Two days ago I was shopping around at different dealerships and came across the Ralliart (I had previous knowledge of the Evo, but not the RA) and I believe it would be a nice fit for me. I'm just wondering what you guys think of the RA as a first car, and how it stacks up compared to other high end vehicles such as the Mustang, 350z, g35, etc.
I'm also open to any ideas / suggestions that I can do to make myself more familiar with everything.

if any of your information was useful op would be highly active in this thread.
Your information has not brought his attention to this thread once. He has made a total of 2 comments lol.
Why don't you start a thread of "WHY TEENAGERS SHOULD NOT GET SPORTS CARS" and let this thread live again.
Hell you'll probrably make the kid go to another forum.

ohhh subie thinks hes big now cuz he got an STI turbo going in, YOU STILL DONT HAVE IT SO DONT TALK ABOUT IT.
Since you wanna be an STI I'll just pull out the beast EVO 9.
that will be a joke when I'm at the finish line and you 're trailing with smoke coming out of your hood.

Unless anyone here is over the age of 40, age is completely irrelevant. Please your 20 or 30 something and you've "seen it all" c'mon. Once again with faster cars causing teen-aged accidents you have no facts to which you always claim to have on your side, you may be correct but with no true support except "logic" your reduced to thinking within your "all teenagers are bad drivers" paradigm. When in fact your much more likely to meet a safe, albeit inexperienced, teen-aged driver.

I didn't say "I've seen it all" and the data speaks for itself. Again, we know teenagers are a high risk group, we know performance cars are a risk factor, it goes to follow that 2+2=4. Once again, I'm not saying all teenagers are bad drivers, most don't crash, however, taking more risks than necessary is stupid. Moreover, it's a small facet of why a 40000$ car at 18 is a bad idea. I know I've seen data on the subject before but when you have 20000 posts, going through them all isn't feasible.
