amby the story is to let the kid know what can happen to him if he decides to act like an idiot.
I'm sure we've all acted like idiots at some point.

Would I do this again mostly likely not.

Not all of us act like idiots in that sense and being a "nut case" about cars doesn't mean I enjoy causing accidents.

not true.. i have 9000 miles on mine and they still have 90% tread

I didn't cause the accident he two stepped, I ran it and he caused the accident cause he is inexperienced therefore hes the idiot. not me.

My RA is sleeping perfectly fine in my garage right now.

to the op, if u can afford it, go ahead and get the RA. Its quicker and safer than the vehicles you mentioned. It is also more practical with rear folding seats and a lot of technology standard. Drive safely.

I have been provoked but I didn't bite and *gasp* the other person didn't go racing off like a lunatic because they weren't pushed. You took the bait and encouraged the behaviour, in fact you likely made it worse, you are partly to blame.

As if it's only "young people". Please, get off your high horse.

Look my point is I'm not a soft driver. I don't go provoking a race every time someone revs there engine but at the same time like everyone else who owns a sports car you are gonna push it if provoked.I don't care what anyone says and I'm being real here.

Why did you buy A WRX? Was it for looks? I don't think so?

Statistically young people are the highest risk group. I didn't say it was only young people but if you check the data, young people tend to die the most for their group because when they **** up, it's big.

Actually no, I know a lot of people with sports cars (heavily modded STIs, Lotuses, Porsches, etc.) and *gasp* they don't street race at all, which is exactly what you're doing. I didn't buy a sports car to be king douchebag of the streets, I bought it to take it to the track like a real man and a real adult, grow up.

Okay fair enough, but to state that it's only young people that are the cause and should see this restriction is ridiculous. Yes younger people (I'm 19 so not trying to sound condescending) do tend do get overconfident, showoffish and plain stupid frequently but that is life, plain and simple. Unfortunately it's how some people learn, making the mistake first. If you put this "restriction" you'd probably just leave the person pent-up and leave them even more money to get an even faster car (I know it was just an off the cuff idea but still). We all make mistakes, some dumber than others, and unfortunately cars and driving is one facet of live that gives little in the way of room for error if you screw up badly.

I'm not going sit here and blabber on about safety. That's the first advice the state gives you when you apply for a drivers permit no need to reiterate the same thing people have said on this forum either.

My advice to you is buy the RA mod the crap out of it.

AMS full set up and run 12.9's all day at the track on saturdays and sundays.

Most importantly get comfortable with the car stock. Then do your mods.
Have fun with the car thats why you are paying 24+K for it.

The RA is a perfect car for you. Think of the RA as a "LUTION" later in the future
you can get the "EVOLUTION"
