This is too funny. They basically describe the 2011 RA as an EVO. Don't see it happening unless the EVO is going bye bye. If the EVO is staying, the EVO XI is going to need to be a BAMF'er.

Eh. The Evo would still slap it around and steal its lunch money.

The manual transmission would allow for much harder launches. So, close to .5 seconds should be reasonable based on how difficult and slow the R/A with the SST is to launch.

As for the 2011 rumor, it's most likely crap as I remember this story being told around april fools. Not only that, but the mitsu dir. of US marketing cited in the article has been actually been working for hyundai for quite some time now.

0.5 seconds seems hard to believe, faster, definitely but half a second in a 0-60 sprint is a bit high.

Yeah, who needs reality when you can wander around clueless, deluded, and misinformed instead!

There's no shortage of people talking about features they want, so there's no need for hoaxes and frauds.

You know how it is trying to accelerate from a dead stop before you're creating any boost - it's a dog on a 4 cyl. If you get to dump the clutch at 3-4k, not only do you got the momentum from the engine, but more importantly, you got boost.

True, a turboed car is a dog from a stop driving around town, unless you accidentally launch it .

hello, hello, hello
sup guys?
damn it's been awhile....
I just read that there is more news on a '11 Ralliart?
With 5sp tranny?
Any one solidify this info or still more speculated rumors?
Hmmm.
I hear that even the '11 STI is going to have another makeover into a newly designed hatchback (much sharper looking then the current HB)
and they might possibly be coming up with a 2 dr coupe.
Anyone hear that?

Did you actually read this thread? Because it's the same old crap from before - there is NO PROOF of a manual R/A. Sorry.

Actually not, there are still huge differences in the suspension, intercooler/piping and so on. It will take a lot more than a turbo swap to make it an evo. But it is looking better now that they might offer a manual. The Evo is far from pointless, the only thing that was pointless is your post.

damn, that was harsh

I still say that word on the 2011 Ralliart is BS, BS, BS.

Mitsu doesn't react that crazily and that fast to people's complaint; I think they should learn something from Subaru

It's hard to say if subaru was responding to people's complaints, or if they were just responding to the R/A. I have a feeling it's the latter. Maybe mitsu should have been hush hush about the R/A a tad longer.
