AVG Fuel
Quick question is anyone elses little AVG fuel display in the middle saying like 13 MPG at like 38 MPH when your really going like 85 ?
Also the little bar on that same screen i wanna say goes like ---25--|---50----75 - - - - looks somthing like that, anyways when i barely am tapping the gas it seems to go around the 30-40 range (near red marker above) Does this mean im really avg'ing ~ 13 MPG?
I looked in the manual about how to reset it, how to change things from manual and auto resetting etc. just curious if barely tapping on the gas while going ~85MPH is really getting me 13MPG. Thanks!!

That stuff is all an average and not really 100% correct. If you want to get your exact miles per gallon, fill your tank and zero your trip odometer. Then drive as you normally would until the tank is close to empty. Then fill it up again and take note of how many gallons you have filled and divide the miles on your trip odometer by that number of gallons.

I find that with mixed driving, the average MPG is always about 2mpg lower than it should be.
In moderate stop and go traffic, don't be surprised if it reads something like 13mpg, and that's accurate, unfortunately.

Yeah problem solved, i never reset my AVG MPG. I was on my way to pick up scosche kit n avic f90bt and was on freeway around 85 and held the INFO button to reset it and it read about 26 MPG.

There are two displays: Trip average and "real time." I've found that the average speed is pretty accurate, and the average mpg is close too. The "real time" is kind of disturbing in terms of fuel economy because you realize just how much gas you're using when you gun from stoplight to stoplight.
