I really like the UR also. I like the sound and the way it hugs the underside of the car. I'm not big on the tin can sound.

How loud do you want it is the question you need to be asking yourself.

I posted a thread a while back on the evo exhaust I had bought to see if it would fit on the RA. right out of the muffler it bends the opposite way as an evo which makes it not compatible at all with the evo, bummer for sure.
I sold that exhaust and now also searching for an RA exhaust that rocks! dual exit of course. Leaning to the CP-E or Buschur, any thoughts from anyone who has either of there?>
Thanks

That's just it. I think that's why I like the UR system. It's a little louder than stock and has a nice growel to it but doesn't sound like half the ricers burning around town I see. You know all noise and can't go anyware . Like I said I'm not big on the farting in a can sound.

I have the AMS one and it sounds like it purs and then when you are on it the exhaust goes to a loud roar. I am a fan of the single exit but I was originally looking at the CP-E because it sounded how I thought it should sound. For me though it reminded me to much of the SRT-4's popcorn maker exhaust.

Hopefully soon. It was on the GReddy RA at MOD. I emailed them and they said in the upcoming months, so who knows exactly when that will be.

Mod the stock exhaust? There's a thread on another Evo x forum about needing only to cut open a single panel and remove a section of pipe within that muffler to allow it to act like a straight-through muffler.

Alternately, do your own custom with a transverse single-in dual-out muffler...

Why would you do that stock exhaust is way to constrictive for air flow. That probably not the smart thing you could do because 3" inch pipe is the way to go.
