Got back from my 1300 mile trip from NYC -> Howes Caverns -> Binghamton -> Corning -> Geneseo -> Rochester -> Buffalo -> Niagara Falls -> Toronto -> Watkins Glen -> Ithica -> Scranton -> NYC.
The front of the car is PLASTERED. Got 2-3 tiny chips on the front bumper and hood, 1 tiny paint chip on the drivers side rear door. Not bad despite going 60 down a dirt road and cruising at 80-130.

It took a good 2 hrs to scrub all the bugs off the car. Probably would've been a good idea to wash everything off mid trip instead of letting it bake in...
I put 3m scotchcal on the headlamps, those are still shiny. I'm planning on keeping those on for at least 2-3 years before I need to put a new layer on. Gonna need it, esp with the roads up here in the northeast.
Thought about doing the tape thing but wouldn't that just look ridiculous on a white car?

Is the front bumper painted? I think mine's just white plastic.
