Side note; I'm dreading 60k miles...SST Fluids need to be changed. SST Diaqueen fluid is pretty much worth its weight in gold.
Don't forget the timing belt and drive belts. While I was at the dealer getting the fuel pipe fixed they quoted me about $400 for the 30,000, and a whopping 850 for the 60,000. Only difference between the two is the belts.

^ I thought they removed timing belts on the 4B11 - replaced with a timing chain? As far as the drive belt... I forgot about that one.

I thought so too, but the Service Adviser insisted they were belts.

Mitsubishi's site says they are chains, but the owner's manual says belts. I wonder if any tuners on here can give us a definitive answer.

How much do dealers usually charge for the first service? e.g. 5,000 miles / 6months

5k miles is usually just an oil change, the 15k miles will depend on your location, here in california we follow the severe maintenance schedule which means its a fluid flush

-oil change
-transfer case fluid change
-acd fluid change
-rear diff fluid change
-coolant
-top off /change brake fluid
-wiper/ accesorry fluid top off
-tire rotation
-lube chasis

I know, cause this is what I did for my evo 8...which practically is what my ralliart's drivetrain is

Either the dealer's trying to rip him off or they're just changing the accessory belts.
The main timing mechanism is a chain but everything else runs off a belt.

I would like to recant my previous statement. The 2009 manual does indicate a timing chain. I think my dealer is lumping the Ralliart in with the regular Lancers.
