So I'm planning on getting a tune when AMS comes out to San Antonio. If I need to get flashed back to stock it would be free of charge (except shipping of course).

alot of people like to just quote the Mag MOss warranty act but in reality if a dealer denies you warranty after you have thoroughly discussed it with them the ONLY way your going to get your warranty back is with a lawyer which will cost you. you cant simply tell the dealer "but but but th e Mag moss warranty act... " they will laugh in your face and say ok heres the proof the tune changed this which cause this and now bam your transmission doesnt work right. this is the case for serious powertrain warranty cases that will cost the dealer and MMNA thousands of dollars.

in the end if you want your warranty protection i suggest sticking to a drop in and maybe an axle back exhaust.

a new document from MMNA states that they are now looking at evos more closely for mods including TUNES / Flashes. I assume if they are doing this for the evos they will do it for the ralliarts if enough begin to have problems.

dont listen to the gts driver who has no clue what hes speaking of.

the tune is removable and if you are really ****, 50 ignition cycles clears any evidence of the tune. above that, wtf are you afraid off, hundreds of us run around with them, with no failures, the engine is designed for alot more. Either stop making these little QQ threads about the whole car being sub par or do somthing about it.

Any source on this? Why would 50 ignition cycles be any different than 1 after flashing back to stock? Just curious because i plan on flashing back to stock every time i visit the dealer.

I am so set!

Now I just need to see what minor upgrades I will get aside from the pill and the tune. Looking at performance intake and small battery kit and probably SS brake lines. From what I have heard the dealers are cool with SS brake lines. I will be headed into the dealer tomorrow for service (stupid recalls) and will talk to them about the brake lines.

Looks like your worries about someone making a rude comment were well founded. I dont know why some people have to be so rude when us newbies have a few questions which are valid. Makes me angry, but I know it's not worth it.
I, for one, appreciate that you took a chance to start this thread as it's helped me as I'm wrestling with the same concerns.

Yes the car chokes on the top end.

Get yourself a tactrix cable, get a email base flash (TTP, AMS, GST,etc.) , and if you need to get warranty work then simply reinstall the factory map. Boom, like a virgin again.

Anyways...I noticed that the car when you go full throttle the torque is amazing but it just feels like that is it. The car takes off great but doesn't seem like it goes anywhere in top end RPM's...am I doing something wrong?

The car is stock

Your findings are correct for a few reasons. Primarily the Ralliart boost is programmed to taper to 8.5psi at redline. Secondly the Ralliart does run leaner than the Evo X due to the lower load cells it hits at upper rpms which access leaner fueling, however the mapping can still stand to be leaned out some more at upper rpms.

TTP-Engineering has remapped and dynotested a substantial number of 2009+ Ralliarts and developed a several custom dynotuned ECU reflashes based on hundreds of hours datalogging, recording and testing of our Ralliart programming on our in house Mustang AWD Dyno. What that has provided us is the experience and expertise to develop our safe email flash maps for maximum power, torque, fuel efficiency, lower E.T. and higher trapspeeds at the dragstrip.

Our reflash can be found here http://ttp-engineering.com/catalog/i...hp?cPath=89_91

Where did u get 50 ignition cycles from? I asked my journeyman mechanic if that was true and he laughed his a** off, but he might be wrong. Anyways the dealer can tell if u reload your stock map back on cause there software tells them the last time your ecu was flashed so if it shows it was flashed an hour before your apt you can't say they did it. I don't know if u saw the new Mits memo to the dealers but everytime a turbo'd Mits goes to the dealer they take pics of all the mods and check for flashes for warranty purposes cause too many costly warranty claims lately(especially on Evos). My dealer for the past few months takes pics of mods and checks for flashes even on basic visits like oil changes or changing over tires and keeps it in your file for any warranty claim that u may have and try to pull one over by going back to stock.

my tune was done through my purchase, the service deptarment at my dealership is 100000% pro mods and tuning. The manager has a gt3076 evo x and the parts driver has a modded ralliart. He told me himself if the tune causes issues and im out of town, if need be, 50 cycles will clear it. they wont look back past there for history.

Which is a bit of a **** when the transmission costs $9-12k
oh so you want Mitsubishi to warranty the Transmission after you increase the power delivery at which the stock transmission is rated?

It's like going to an AT&T Store and saying: oh I want an iPhone and I want to jailbreak it, but I want to make sure you guys will offer warranty after that...

very clever
