Help..removing the spoiler
I was trying to remove my spoiler for fun and I un-did the bolts but it wouldn't come off. I read that there was sticky stuff holding it on and it said to heat, has anyone done that? Will it be able to be put back on just fine if it isn't sticky anymore??

Straddle the spoiler by standing on top of the trunk lid, use some back/leg power to generate more upward pull and rip that ***** off.
Heat should be fine, a blow dryer should be more than sufficient. If you're not in a hurry just wait for a nice hot day outside and pull it off. Cold temps make the adhesive cement-like.
I believe there are also some clips holding it on too...??? Don't remember exactly, someone correct me!

DO NOT do the pry bar, that will only hurt the trunk lid, with the trunk open and a heat gun from the underside of the trunk the glue will loosen and simply pull off, good luck

There are 2 little clips also holding it on... I tried to heat mine up best i could and used a buddy to pull up evenly but a clip did break when it was removed..
Don't really care much cuz it will never go back on, and they really are not needed..

Do this: ( I have done it 4 times now). Find an old credit card or (something stiff like that). Stick that between the hood and the spoiler (or the base of the wing, and the trunk) and slowly work it in there, it takes time, but it is safe. Once the double sided tape starts to separate, you then can take your fingers and wedge them in there to slowly separate the wing from the trunk. Once you get one side up, it will pop out of there. Watch the bolt that is on the bottom of the wing, it will easily move to the hood and scratch it. Repeat for the other side.
Oh and heat gun is a good idea too.

a little trick for double sided sticky tape on cars that i've always used and works amazing is Dental Floss and Goo Gone. The wax in the floss protects from scraching your car for debadging or removing double sided tape and the goo gone helps if you spray a little and helps with completely removing the excess tape.
