Here's why. The OEM pipes are too long for the taller and wider Evo X FMIC. I saw a post somewhere were someone did what you are suggesting. If I find it, I'll post it here.

I saw on clubralliart.com where the LICP was not exchanged during the swap, but a blue coupler was purchased and they were able to make it work. I would just replace both pipes but there seems to be a way around it if need be.

I can confirm that the stock ralliar LICP works fine as I was too lazy to change it and got it to work fine

That is quite a difference. Worth changing, if your going to do it, might as well do it right the first time.
