warning: nokya hyper yellows

apologies for another fog light thread but...

the other day my friend cleared the fogs from dirt and salt and he said he burnt his hand they were so outrageously hot, today i look at them, both lenses cracked and i would imagine from the heat since ive only had the nokyas in for less than a week. chances road debris is the culprit? low imo. i would offer a strong warning to anyone interested in the hyper yellows although they look great! next step is to see what buyheadlightbulbs.com/nokya thinks about this issue on monday.

Weird, maybe you have fake ones or something else is amiss?

Been using the same set of Nokya 55w in my Evo for 2 years now and counting. Have a set for the RA I haven't put in yet.

Nokya sells 75 or 80 watt bulbs I forgot which but some people got them thinking it was 55 and it burnt the lemans and wires. So make sure ur supplier is giving you the right bulbs

Ive ran the 55w ones for about 2 years now and theyve been just fine. The housing lens does get pretty hot but havent had problems. I run my lights day and night and never shut them off. Fogs still run as if they were brand new and havent dimmed on me and there has been no discoloration. When I installed them I made sure I didnt touch them with my bare hands since Ive heard the oil from your hands can cause premature failure.
