Don't worry. Mine, with a test pipe and GST Basemap makes an very noticeable black smoke every time I floor it...

It is normal on a turbo car... As we increase the boost pressure, we also want to decrease the AFR. The extra gaz is used to lower the cylinder temperature to help prevent detonation.

As already mentionned, a reasonnable amount of black smoke is good. If it is white you need to worry.

always a sad sign when you're driving down the freeway and suddenly you see a giant blue cloud of blue smoke behind you thanks to a failed Apex seal (damn you FD RX-7's)....

Or a giant cloud of white smoke suddenly billowing into the cabin from a blown head gasket (damn you Porsche)

black smoke...meh haha
