good news. the general manager says he remembers his younger days of modifieing cars&his mechanics said theres no way that anything i did could have made it leak. funny thing is the fluid was running down from a higher spot on the transmission. the filter housing and seal itself were faulty. so im getting a free transmission fluid change(which i was about to buy teh stuff to get one done anyway to get all the break in junk out)and all the seals replaced in the trans&will have it back by next wed. good things still happen

Glad to hear it worked out for ya man! If I walked into my stealership with that kind of mod list I'd lose my warranty for sure. Hell, they dont want me installing my Evo X FMIC, said they'd void my warranty. Boo Canadian stealerships We need that fancy law up here

Yeah its odd, Mitsu cars are some of the most "tuner friendly" in regards to design/placement/set-up; but their warranties....not so much. They know that certain models (lancer, evo, ra, galant to an extent) have a large after-market and enthusiast following. They could probably stand to change their business model w/ respectable pricing to cover "beyond the warranty" work.

i noticed it my first oil change at 3***. then i went to check again at 5500 and it was still there. so i dropped it off at my mechanic and bc i was about to take a lil road trip and he thought it was leaking from the main seal but turned to find out it was dripping down onto the main seal from above it from the mal functioning trans filter housing. about 5900 miles i think

They just found a leak on mine at 20,100. It's probably been like that for a while i just never noticed it, i allways found wet spots but figured i was just making a mess out of my oil changes. They told me i would need a whole new tranny though, which sucks because they have no loaners and a tranny replacement im guessing would take longer than a seal replacement. Anyways let us know how it goes, im taking mine back within the next few weeks to see if it needs to be replaced

im going to try to keep up the good relationship with this dealership. its not even the one i bought the car from. the service manager even took me in the back under my car to show me what all was going on which i thought would never happen bc of liability issues. im going to email them letting them know how much i appreciate the service once i get my car back and ask if theres any kind of letter or something i can do to back their service guarantee or write to the BBB on their part of how good the service once. a lil butt kissing incase something else were to go wrong
