Replacing Halogen with HID's in a Base model ok?
Hey everyone,
I recently bought a 2011 Lancer Ralliart, I wanted to get the touring package but didn't have the color I wanted :\
So I got the Base model, and the base model does not include HID lights.
My friend bought me a pair of HID bulbs(9006). Is it safe to replace my OEM bulbs and put in these new HID bulbs?
I read somewhere that you would need a HID conversion kit with a relay harness and all that or else your light cover will melt
Thanks for your input, I greatly Appreciate it~~

You will need the hid conversion kit but I would recommend against that unless you upgrade the housing also so you won't blind everyone on the road since the stock housing isn't designed for HID's

I am running on a 35W HID kit and love it. I don't think that would melt anything.
I picked up a set of projectors recently so I have the entire kit with ballasts & bulbs for sale. PM me if interested.
