Cancelling an Extended Warranty
I bought my Ralliart 1 1/2 years ago with an extended warranty. I have been thinking about getting rid of the car but the extra 2k on the extended warranty puts me in negative equity so I want to cancel it. I don't want to drive 2 hours to Anaheim to try and deal with the damn finance manager. eHow.com recommended Warrantyrefund.com which allows them to cancel your warranty on your behalf by giving them limited power of attorney. I did some searches online to see if anyone said they got scammed but didn't find anything
Just curious if anyone else has used them

I canceled an extended warranty thru Subaru about a year ago. They give the value after deducting for either term (months) or mileage, which ever is MORE. You can just call them and fax the info. The only thing is, if the car is not paid off, the money goes straight to the finance company as a principle reduction. If you want the cash , you need to provide proof of pay off from the lender.
