Dealer was about 830 miles away, but I got a decent price for it even considering the fee to have it trucked to my location. Found it is best to talk to the dealers who have the cars, every dealer will say they can get them but they are full of crap. I love how they start talking price when they don't even have the car or know if they can get it.

I think some optioned RA's are more rare than Evo's because if you throw on a few options they cost almost as much as an Evo and an Evo is a better performing car. I myself needed the Sportback which you can't get on an Evo. I also wanted the RA for the lower HP for reduced insurance rates figuring I can always up it later and still pay the lower insurance.

EDIT - btw, I know there is a Black RA SB w/touring at a dealership in Maine somewhere. That was 1 of 2 cars I found in my search (I bought the other one in NC). There are also 4 other RA SB w/touring floating around. 1 is silver but I think 2 or 3 of those were in CA. I got mine for $29,300 (all fees included except...) + $540 shipping +$1670 WI Tax to give you a starting point for price.

yes! i had to go the the 3rd furthest dealer to get it (and they had like 4 but they sold 1 other one the same day. it was only an hour away though.

Local dealer. I did put 1k down to show I'm serious about purchasing the vehicle. We did not talk about final price yet as he said they rebates may change in my favor, but he also said he would not charge me more than list price.
Bottom line is that the nagotiations will start when the car hits the dealer lot.

My car did arrive at the dealer on the 28th of July.
So the 3 month time frame a dealer gives you when they order it is pretty accurate.

I went to buy a GTS Sportback but they had a 2010 RA SB sitting on the lot for below invoice and I couldn't resist. It has the Recaros and being 6'1" and 240 lbs I thought I'd hate them but after a month I'm used to them and actually feel quite comfortable, I'm almost cocooned in them. Awesome car, btw. Cheers!

a dealer not too far from chicago has 16 in stock right now. Just a month ago I could only find 3 new in the chicagoland area.

When I bought mine last May there were 3 within a 50 mile radius and since one of them was only 5 miles from my gf's house I went there to purchase. I didnt want black but because it came with the Recaros & Nav I decided just to do it and Im glad I did. I still dont really like the black but since you can no longer get Recaros Im happy I did!!

I found one used on craig;s list and jumped on it!

Saved over $10K over a new 2011 in my case! More money for mods, eh?

I just bought one the other day and yes, it was difficult finding what I wanted. First off, I could not find a new 11 Sportback anywhere in Canada. I finally found a 09 Sportback in Ontario (premium package) with less than 300 km's on it and I decided to go with it, although I didn't even see or drive it lol. I live several provinces away and it will be transported (train) here shortly. I am super excited to get this car.

Thanks man. I fell in love with the car after some extended test drives and the Sportback will give me the versatility I need. I live in a pretty snowy climate for 6 months of the year, and the AWD will be a huge plus. Waiting for something you really want to finally arrive is tough, but I'm just happy I found one. Like I said, very slim pickings here in Canada for new ones. I wanted at 2012, but quickly figured out they are not offering them this year.
