Check engine light with TP

I installed the UR test pipe with the o2 extension option. Unfortunately the CEL still came on. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I try to add more extension to it?

I cleared all codes before I read your post and the light hasn't come back on. If it does I'll check the code. Thanks for the help. I'll let you know.

No problem. If it's the p0420, which it likely is, your rear o2 is going to need a bit more spacing from the exhaust stream.

If it's the p0134, it's too far out and not getting enough flow to give a logical reading to the car so it thinks the o2 sensor is bad. That's a bit more tricky to fix since you already have an incorporated spacer, you'd likely have to cut away some of the tip of the spacer tube and then tap the inside of the thread further so you could mount the o2 sensor closer to the exhaust flow.

Didn't someone create a mod for the evo x which simulates the rear o2?

I was just thinking that. I guess if there is and I have no good option to get rid of the CEL then I may have to go this route. It would be nice if someone knew this answer.

I use ecuflash to clear codes.

If ur talking about turning the rear o2 sensor off completly with evoscan it throws another cel for no rear o2 sensor activity. I tried that Im gonna wait until I get another extension before I turn it back on. I have a ur test pipe too and it throws a cel not to mention that when I got my car tuned by Devin at boostin performance the bung cap wouldnt come out. After Keith took off my test pipe we found out the ur welded the cap in the bung I called them about it and they never called me back sorry to go off topic.

If the ecu mod works, you should be able to delete the relevant cel. I suppose as long as it doesn't negatively affect anything, you should be good.
