there is no part # or ability to order just the TCU. getrag is too proud of themselves to sell anything but whole transmission units

There are part #'s, you just can't order it.

lmao

you're referring to getrag part #'s right? afaik there are no mitsu part #'s. but like you said, doesn't make a difference

wonder when/if they will sell parts individually. I can understand why back in 08, for legal reasons, when the tech was new. But it's been a while now...

Getting either is the hard part, currently.
Do you know if the MR TCU will work "out of the box" on an RA?

If he has access to e85, why bother with meth? e85 is infinitely safer and more consistent while achieving nearly identical results.

OP, I second Bryan's question, who was it that told you to avoid e85 @ higher levels because I'd love to hear that reasoning as well. I have a customer here with a daily driven X running 450-500 hp on an FPred on e85 no problem.

i heard it can mess up injectors, and e85 has less gains and more heat doesn't it? just a slight amount...

Maybe but on e85 you don't run the risk of blowing your engine if one of the meth injectors fouls up with timing and boost that high. Fuel injectors are a "bit" more consistent.

I lol'd when I read that post, thanx Bryan...

On topic about E85... gotta love Canada. 33,000 federal flex fuel cars, government subsidies to try and get flex fuel vehicles into consumer's hands... all this started in '95. We currently have 4 E85 pumps in all Canada. Nevermind that, I can't even source 93/94 oct fuel here, and there's almost 200,000 ppl in my city.

Hopefully eventually something happens and I can join the cool kids lol

Maybe there's more. That stat was from 2009. We might have 8, maybe even 10 pumps. Whoa.... imagine that, one pump for every 3 million people.
