Garage door incident... broken antenna. :(
So the demon garage door came down on my baby when I was pulling in. Essentially my fault, but pissed me off none the less. So luckily, it came down right on the antenna, and not the roof. The antenna snapped right off, and there's a pretty good ding from the Perrin shorty being slammed against the roof. So in my hand, I have an entire shorty antenna, the screw mechanism which you would screw the Perrin to, and a small piece of broken plastic where the damage was done. It also appears to have pulled up the assembly slightly, as it no longer sits perfectly flush to the roof of the car. Im trying to go ahead and get this fixed in the best way possible, but the only info I can find is about swapping antennas. I need to fix the actual housing assembly, not the antenna. Is this assembly expensive? Is it easy to fix/replace? Does anyone have any helpful info/ideas?

Actually that could work. I was looking at those Vortex Generators, but I think the Shark Fin looks a little more cut. Any ideas at how to get the stock antenna base out/off?

You unscrew the antennae (which it sounds like you already broke off, coincidence....) and then there is some copper wiring type material that you screw down to conduct the radio signals. Uses double sided padded tape not bolts, so can be removed if you ever want to do something else down the road
