Moving the Front License Plate

Moving the Front License Plate
Living in CA, a front plate is required. You can get away with not having one for a while (I think my buddy is pushing 1 year by leaving the temp license on the dash), but your better off just putting it on.
I had Socal Mitsu install it my plate dead center on the bumper. At the time I didn't want to spend the $$ for a side mount, but I've been regretting it ever since.
I'm looking to move to a side mount, but the damage has already been done to the front. I don't want to move it (putting more holes in the bumper) only to have to deal with 2 holes being in the front.
I could probably plug the holes, but that might look odd.
Anyone in the same situation? Anyone move their plate's position before? How did you deal with the holes?

I have not done it but I read on another forum that they went to a hardware store and got rubber stoppers that fit the holes. Then they sprayed over with plasti-dip to get it smooth. There is another method I think that someone else used but it may have required a bit of sanding. The problem is making it seem like there were no holes there in the first place, as I think even with some sprays you will get a little indent where the edge of the holes are.

The plasti-dip spray might work although I can imagine its probably tough to get it to blend right.

To the OP. I had mine drilled in the front as well. I bought the relocation plate, very easy install and i plugged the holes up front with two black pieces you can get from pepboys

i mean you cant just post a photo of a fog light like that and not expect that to steal this thread. i need those lights and i needed them yesterday, sign me up for a pair of those!
anyways.. i just plugged the dealer drilled holes with plastic plugs, and just made a little plate that screwed into the holes that attached the underpanel with a ziptie attached to the grill

@Drew314 - Love those fog lights. Did you buy directly from a Mercedes dealer?
Anyway - I got the plate moved by South Coast Mitsubishi ($40 for parts / $20 labor if anyone's curious). Looks so much better (just need a cool frame now :P).
Just gotta figure out what to do with the holes. @bobcrusader: I'm really liking the idea of using the evo-style grill. How much will that run me?
Also, I was looking at Evos while waiting. I know that they have slightly a wider body which makes their grill larger (and it drops down to the lip), but something else i noticed is that the frame around the grill is almost non-existent. The grill goes butt-up against the body. Has anyone ever taken off the chrome frame entirely to see what that looks like?

Those fog lights are freaking awesome! Please post more details! Where did you get the replacement housing without the hole where the fog light would normally be?
The lights themselves look like you made a metal front, and then attached a plexiglass back after adding the electronics. Did you make a custom PCB? It's so tidy!
