also all aluminum engine blocks dissipate heat much more efficiently than iron/steel engine blocks. Meaning much of the heat is dissipated before it is transferred to the coolant...

Thermostat will only open at its set temp. So even though the block radiates heat a bit better - it will still get to the operating temp of the thermostat.

A 180deg thermostat keeps the engine at 180deg.
