Gst 2.7tbe and diy intake

Do not run these together, they will run your car lean. 12.5 was the lowest I saw when running this combo. (13.0+ on avg.)

Its common sense, but those on the regular maps said they were fine.

You should post this in the GST basemap thread too.

Im not sure if you were expecting different results, but this was common sense. Razor has made it clear to be following the diet for the GST Basemap tune to the T. It is specifically tuned for specific mods and nowhere did i see anyone post anything about it safe for the DIY intake, in fact i do believe i saw the opposite.

Im not trying to troll this thread, im just reiterating the fact that anyone (aside from experienced tuners) should not try to go outside the box. The box is there for a reason.

Try the 2.7 TBE and AEM intake map and see if it is better. The maps are different for a reason

I have the 2.7 TBE map with stock filter and consistently see an a/f of 10 at wide open throttle.

Thats what he is running right now. He has the wrong diet though. DIY intake vs the AEM intake.

I had a diy without my tp installed and the 2.6 map, no problems. However the 2.7tbe with tp and diy was unsafe. If you look at the older DIY posts, people were not showing lean conditions with the pre2.7 maps... SO Yes, stay inside the box with the more restrictive and aggressive 2.7 tunes. If you have a tbe/tp/cbe with an aftermarket intake that is not the AEM 21-698C CAI, you will be lean using any of the maps. If you don't have a cbe / tp/ tbe and are running the DIY, 2.6 or 2.7 pill only maps should be used only if you have something to log your afr.

Uh no. Aem Maf tables are scaled differently. Secondly, you are losing performance if u are that rich. Aren't you?

No other intake should be used other than the aem with the 2.7aem map

I know this should probably all be in the GST thread, but...

The "traditional" v27 base maps have essentially the same fuel maps as v26, v25, etc. Tiny tweaks here and there, but basically the same. That's the "stockpill" and "boostpill" style maps, 91oct/93oct/98RON.

However, Bryan has leaned out the v27 TBE and TBE+AEM maps compared to the "traditional" basemap sets. From the correspondence at the time, I can see all that AFR work was all beta-tested by people who had loggable widebands fitted. The maps you see now are a direct product of that test/log/refine/repeat process. These ones are specialist maps - very specific to application.

If you bung those maps onto anything "outside the box" (as OverCorrupt very nicely worded it), you'd better be on the ball with your own wideband and a tuning strategy for your own personal fuel map. While you're at it, set boost, timing, etc. You're then putting the "base" back into "base map", and using them as a starting point.

But if you're not confident self-tuning to the variations of your own vehicle, then stick religiously to the directions in Bryan's first post. Stuff like, only use the AEM tune for AEM intake... a high-flow cat on its own is not a full "turbo back exhaust"... etc.

Stay safe.
