Ralliart Transmission Failure?

I have a 2014 ralliart with 2,000 miles on it. Today I was driving around 30mph when the transmission went out. I pulled off to the side of the road and the center LCD was flashing transmission overheated, slow down and transmission service needed screens. When I put the car into gear it would not move. I shut the car off for about 10 minutes, turned it back on and was able to drive it. The warnings are gone but my service engine soon light is on. Is my transmission screwed?

Well something went wrong. I think your best bet is to get it scanned to see what the error codes are so you know exactly what the problem is. It may be something small or it could be major however it looks like you should be covered for any problems with only 2000 miles. That is definitely a bright side.

Go to the stealership immediately, and put that warranty to use

Have you done any engine/transmission mods to the car at all?

None at all.

The dealership is far away from me. I will try and find a place to get it scanned tomorrow.

No power breaking. I was just driving 30 mph through town and it happened randomly. I called the dealership they said a transmission sensor could be out of wack.

Will they tow the car to the nearest dealership under the warranty towing even if the car is drivable?

Not saying u were but was just making a statement. Understand it was across town but to further any damage I would have it towed.

I would think they would cover tow so that any further damage, IF there is any, is avoided. It may just be a loose sensor and hopefully with how new yours is that is all it is. They would look silly making you drive it in and then discovering that the drive totaled the transmission.

Yeah - to cover your butt - make them say 'drive it in'. If they need to pull the tranny - ask for a loaner car!

update- a couple of days after this happened the service engine light went off and never came back on. Got the car into the dealer finally, and guess what, they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They said they pulled some codes but could not diagnose what exactly had happened. Any opinions as to what could have caused this now?

It turned out to be was my car " over torqued " i was on the high doing like 65 hit the gas a lil to pass a car and the car went straight to limp mode. Waited a few mins car started right up and check engine light went away.
