Newbie in need of help-ralliartuicp.jpg

okay so I'm looking into buying my first RA, and I came across this picture. the UICP looks strange to me, and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on why it looks different than stock.

Where is it routed to? Any other pictures of the car?

That's the problem, this is the only engine bay picture the dealer had. The car has a couple aftermarket parts like a boost gauge intake exhaust and I think that's a smaller battery which led me to think this is some kind of mod I've never heard of

I would say walk-away. Unless you know it was carefully tuned and not too beat-on...

Find a nice non-modded car with proof of proper maintenance.

Yea that's what I was thinking, who knows if the previous owner had it properly tuned after intake/exhaust/ebcs. I'll just start from scratch!

It looks like he has a different intercooler from the normal RA/x's. Look at the top of the IC where the UICP should go. The uicp is probably routed to the side as how that IC looks.

It looks almost like they bypassed the IC and going straight to the intake manifold, either case I would stay way

I've never seen this kind of nastiness done to a Ralliart yet. Between the weird intercooler bypass, the not-quite-cold-air intake, the junky looking BPV, and the lack of the black cover at the front of the engine bay (which is not all that good for the performance of the radiator), I would stay very far away from this. It looks like a really crappy modding job, so I wouldn't count on a proper tune either.

Haha his "not-quite-cold-air" intake that's a perfect description
