What did you replace your worn factory Advan's with?

Just wondering what is the most miles that anyone has gotten out of the stock tires? I am at 9600 and totally bald on the inside of the fronts. Tried to get a warranty replacement through dealer but they did not want to cover. Anyway I am looking at getting Nitto 555 in a 225/40/18, always had a good experience with Nitto 415 on my old integra so hoping the 555 will treat my RA well.

Agreed. 98 bucks a tire on tirerack... the Sumitomo HTR ZIII 245/40/17 got me on three wheels at the track AND after 20k miles, still have 60-70% tread remaining. Best buy, best performance for the money.

Hankook Ventus V12's. At 120 a pop as apposed to the over 300 your pay for the advans. Break in period is a little long at around 450-500 miles, but after that the tire really shines. I've put around 1500 miles on them since I bought the tires along with some new wheels and I absolutely love them.

Replaced stock Advans at 12k miles went with Bridgestone RE706. Been awesome. Have over 22k miles on them and still have about 8k to go. I guessed about 30k and they are great in dry and wet both. Plus only 160 each from Firestone.

For the summer - 255/35/18 Nitto NT-555
Great tire for daily driving with. Not only that, I threw in three track days, and 6 autocross events. All this, and I feel I still have 40,000 miles left on them!
For the winter - 225/45/18 Pirelli Winter 240 Snowsport
Most people go for the Blizzaks. Pirelli's are what the rally guys trust

i had Neuton all seasons last year and now Maxxis MZ4 all seasons, both 235/40ZR18
the Neutons made less squeal but road noise was bad. good all season for $100/each. better water siping than the Maxxis.
the Maxxis offer more cornering grip, with a very progressive breakaway at the limit. you'll hear it
for my driving i don't need auto-x tires for the street. i can't justify doing that anymore in my cars since i almost never make it to the track. when the kids are older and i have the time, i will dedicate a set of wheels and tires for it.
