Sure prices have gone up on things just like everything else due to the cost of materials. Whether or not AMS is charging too much or not is irrelevant to me and some others because they have continued to bring stuff to us for the pleasure of modifying our cars. It eventually comes to this situation when companies make a name for themselves and I am happy that AMS has had alot of success in that area. They have great products and customer service where companies that have been established for a longer time and are bigger could have in some cases a big head. Besides how many japanese based brands have good parts for us right now that dont cost 25-50% percent more than what AMS has for us now?

I dont want to see this thread get off topic so my rant is over. I dont want for us to complain with a loaf of bread under our arm when they have been researching and making products for our cars.

r&d is top notch, but they price hick is to help pay for all those race cars they have. Not fair to the general consumer. Once this peice is made available to other companies, the price will drop.

So how the hell are we supposed to put them on if they don't fit our wheels, and the Evo wheels don't fit unless we put time into our fenders?

only ra's with wider wheels in this case; this is a track setup... RA's dont need that upgrade for commute traffic... and 1,400 bucks for a front brake kit... that's cheap... but it could go down an extra 100 bucks

some of the data in that thread is not right, here is it right off of our website:

The AMS/Wilwood Lancer Ralliart Big Front Brake Kit is a true brake solution for Ralliart owners that are looking for a lot of stopping power. AMS has teamed up with Wilwood to develop a big front brake kit suitable to fit the Ralliart. Our big brake kit utilizes robust Wilwood 4 piston calipers and Wilwood B compound pads made for severe-duty asphalt and track use. The vented vane rotor is 11.75” in diameter (stock is 11.6”) and features a lightweight aluminum hat. We supply the rotor and hat pre-assembled with safety wire and include plastic coated braided stainless steel brake lines to protect against abrasion from gravel and debris. Grade 8 hardware and zinc plated caliper brackets complete the package.

How exactly? we are having to CNC our own brackets, safety wire our own rotors, build our own brake lines? Please show me where else you can get this kit for cheaper and I will show you why ours costs more.

Eric since it doesn't fit our factory 18x7 wheels. Can we use 7.5 or do we have to go 8?

Wheel fitment is really going to depend on the wheel itself and spoke design, offset etc. So far the only wheel we have tried is the stock X wheel and it fits. Yes you need to roll the fenders to put stock X wheels on but it was all we had here to test. We will build a downloadable wheel template for RA owners.
