2010 RA LCAs

I noticed that the lancer has stamped steel lower control arms but the RA has cast aluminum lca's. Are the 09 RAs the same?

All RA's come with a full steel suspension. Only the Evos have aluminum.

sorry, i meant RUCA's. and the forward arm that connects to the rear lca appears to be aluminum as well. it's vastly different in appearance compared to the regular lancer i saw in the showroom.

That looks like steel to me, but the quickest test would be to put a magnet on it. If it sticks it's steel, if it falls it's aluminum.

ya thanks genius. 82,200 results. i didn't get any video results.

let me reiterate this for those who aren't getting it: my 2010 RA has cast suspension parts. i saw a lancer at the dealership with the bottom exposed (flipped on it's side) and noticed that there are NO cast parts aside from the knuckles. ALL STAMPED STEEL. i got excited and thought maybe the 2010's have some suspension improvements and decided to post here.

i took a closer look at my car and used a magnet. it's steel. *sigh*

has anyone looked at their 2009 RA suspension and noticed cast parts, and not stamped steel?

...i just went by the local mitsu dealer. ( a couple of blocks from my work).

i looked under a bunch of '10 RAs'.

they look just like my early production '09.
