Purchasing new tires - is alignment recommended too?

Very soon I will be purchasing new tires to replace the worn out Yoko's. Is an alignment recommended when having new tires installed?

basically if it makes you feel better inside yes, but really no since your not changing the angle of how the car rides, just giving it some new shoes

id say recommended but not required, i doubt u have any uneven wear on your tires but if u do then that would be the main reason you would need the alignment since the new tires will all sit flat

If you value the tires you just put on then the answer is without a doubt YES!

your alignment can shift at anytime depending. If you have a girlfriend like mine that steers towards huge pot holes, then you can understand that its good to have your alignment checked out from time to time.

Some tires actually have alignment aids to help with determining if the alignment is off in the first 1000 or so miles of your new tire life.

Actually I do have unever tire wear. It's hard to tell if that's a result of the crappy stock Yoko's or an alignment problem.

If it's truly uneven, then it's probably attributable to alignment and getting it aligned is definitely recommended if you want the new tires to last.

Most alignment shops will check it for free. Seems like a no-brainer to atleast get it checked.

If you get it done ask for print outs..they can show you what the alignment was before, and after.
Good try hun... I would suggest you don't give advice about stuff like this.. Good try though.

If it were me, I would definitely get an alignment after having new tires installed in the event that the alignment was out. I would hate to have premature tire wear with brand new tires.

I had an alignment done when 4 new Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires were installed a week ago. I have to say I don't ever recall the car riding as smooth as it does now. The car no longer pulls to the side. The steering wheel doesn't shake at high speeds. The wheel doesn't vibrate while braking. I'm very happy!
