Jacking up a car question

I bought 2 Jack Stands 3 Ton but I do not own a Floor Jack.

I wanted to see if it's possible to use the jack stands with just using the scissor jack that comes with the Ralliart. If so what's the best way to place them using the scissor jack and can I do 2 wheels at a time?

The scissor jack probably won't get the car high enough to put the jack stands under the car. If it does, the height of the car won't be enough to do any meaningful work underneath. You might be able to change the oil, but it will be cramped. Get a set of rhino ramps for ~$30, they make changing oil a breeze.

I want to paint my calipers and change tires. Not planning working under. So I was wondering if i can just lift one side at a time with 2 jack stands....meaning 2 tires at a time.

It probably would work if the scissor jack can get the car high enough.

Scissor jack should work. It's used for changing tires so it'll be high enough. It'll just take some time. I would definitely recommend buying a real jack though. Soooo much easier.

Question is though can I just put the jackstand right next to the scissor jack point and is it possible that I can do 2 wheels at a time

2 front or 1 front 1 back

I would invest the $100 for the walmart 1 T floor jack and do it right.

The scissor jack is desgined to lift one wheel only. And not often and not safely very much higher than needed.

ya **** aint a joke when your painting your caliper and your heads in the wheel well, and your ******* car falls 1ft to the ground and knocks your head around in there. Or if it catches a foot, or hand. I doubt the scissor jack will get it high enough to do anything worthwhile like your trying to do.

The sissor jack will be fine to jack up ur car and you can put the jack stand next to the sissor lift for added security. If the sissor lift wont jack it high enough then just put some wood under the sissor jack and it will give you the extra hieght you required to put the jack stand in.

I've done caliper paint before on my eclipse. I just wanted to use Jack Stands so the scissor jack doesn't have to hold all the pressure for a period of time. I'm not doing anything extreme to having to go under the car..... I'm sure i'll invest in a floor jack just wanted to do this for now.
