I believe the widest rim someone has fit on an RA is 9.5", but I think they were going for a flush look. If you want to tuck, I would keep the width under 9". The offset is also key to this equation, so if you can provide that, we can give you more accurate advice.

The Word Flush means
Flush
adj (usually postpositive)
1. level or even with another surface
2. directly adjacent; continuous

A 9.5 Rim is simply too wide for the stock Ralliart body unless the offset you get is a not soo aggressive set HOWEVER, You will then need to shave down or get custom work done to the control or so. Contact Road Race Engineering and Ask for Mike and him him how he was able to fit his 18x9.5 (I Forgot Offset) Volk RE30's on his Ralliart. 18x9.5 Rims sit perfectly FLUSH to the Evo X body. 18x9's would Flush yet pushing it on the Ralliart Body.

To be HellaFUNCTIONAL
Flush = 18x9+30

WHACK LAME HELLA FLUSH = would be on 9.5+ Rim.

Will the original wheel posted fit?

Not even close. You would have to stretch tires on my car (X) to get that to fit.

Will the higher offset 527 in a narrower size look good?

No. There will be almost no concavity in the wheel. When in doubt, Google is your friend.

Is 9.5 the widest wheel anyone has ever run on a Ralliart?

No. At least one person is running an 18x10 XXR wheel. Many are running a 9.5. This is common. You would know that if you referenced the wheel and tire fitment thread.

What does "You will need a roll" mean?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=fender+rolling

Will you be able to tuck a wheel of that size?

evil03 found a way to tuck Rota 18x9.5 ET30 wheels, but it took a ton of work. I am not going back through his posts to find that.

That should answer all of the potential questions that I can identify from this thread. Please make use of the Wheel and Tire Fitment thread. I know that it is long, but it can answer more questions that you could ever ask.

You could convert the front fenders and bumper and devise some kind of fender flares in the rear to run those wheels, though. That has also been done.

here are pics for reference. With wanting coilovers even the 18x8.75 +35 poke in the front a bit I wouldnt go with the wider wheels or lower offset and if you plan to tuck rolling will be required and a tire stretch also.
