Lowering the car, Maybe even some Rota's.

I'm a real n00b when it comes to tires, wheels, and things of this nature, so please bare with me lol.

Currently, i'm looking at lowering my car, possibly to RRM Grip Springs (according to the site, it drops 1.5 inches in the front and 1.4 inches in the rear). If I were to get Rota Grids (18x8.5 +44 offset), would I have to roll the fenders?

If I were to go with Tein S-tech's, how much would the handling change, and how would this affect my shocks?

Also, I know the stock tire is 215/45-18. Would I be able to mount these tires to the rota grids?

Any insight would be appreciated

fender rolling necessity will be determined by the offset you get the rims in. If they're +48 off set, you'll be good w/o a roll on lowering springs w/ most common tire sizes. you ~might~ be getting close to rubbing if you go w/ 245/40 tires though

If you are considering coil-overs, you'll want rims w/ less offset. The lower the off set the higher the likelihood you'll need to roll.

"18X8.5 +44 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 5mm spacer to be flushed
Inner Clearance: 17mm LESS Outer Face Position: 21mm MORE
Tires:225/40 18 and 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height
when lowering just a simple roll in the back will do just fine with no rubbing..."

I have 235's on Grids with RRM springs. I had to roll my rear fenders.

Well, im assuming that since offset is the only difference, that the stock wheels should be fine.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Yes 215 on a 8.5 is doable. It would fall into the "stretched" category, but its pretty mild.
