brake fluid low??

Don't add fluid or it will make a mess when you change the pads, your pads are probably gone. Replace them and your fluid level will be fine, however I do recomend bleeding them for new pads.

You don't want to add fluid unless the level is below the add mark. On a lot of cars the low level sets a bake system warning light on the dash that tells when it's time to check your pads.

Frankly, and I don't know how easy it is to change pads with your brakes (on the Evo it is very straight forward). If it is a simple DIY, than you might consider fresh fluid as well. Motul 600 is about $14 and makes a big difference over oem fluid. We pull the wheels, open the bleeders and let it drain for 30 min to a hour and add fluid, drain, add, drain, until it is all replaced and then bleed according to your brake line length (inner/ outer BR, BL, FR, FL or whatever). Simple and effective.

Sometimes fluid will leak from the back of the master cylinder, you would need to remove the nuts that hold the master cylinder to the barke booster, move the master cylinder forward, and look for brake fluid.
Hopefully master cylinder failure is not the cause. Usually brake master cylinders last 10 years or more.
